Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. took place in the "Euro Foto Art" Gallery, Exhibition Center of the International Federation of Photographic Art Oradea - Romania (the 17th in the world) within the Oradea City Museum section of the Museum Țării Crisurilor - Museum Complex (MȚCr), the opening of the exhibition of photojournalists from the Bihor – Hajdú-Bihar Euroregion. The international exhibition was organized by the International Association "Euro Photo Art" in partnership with Casa Partium from Debrețin (HU), Summit Agro Romania and MȚCr. The audience present at the event was greeted by Dr. Ioan Ciorba, head of the Oradea City Museum section, who appreciated the idea of organizing the exhibition of Bihor photojournalists. Next, the vice-mayor of the municipality of Oradea, Mrs. Nica Antonia Monica, thanked for the opportunity offered to participate in this exceptional opening and for the opportunity offered by the president of AIEFA to view the 72 works accepted and awarded at the VIII edition. of the international exhibition, images with emphasized messages that present the people of the Bihor – Hajdú-Bihar Euroregion in different poses. "Your service as photojournalists is more than an art, because you are the permanent visual chroniclers of our days, which is why you deserve our full respect" the municipal official emphasized at the end of his speech. Next, the media expert Stanik István, the director of the "Partium" House in Debrecen read the message of the deputy mayor of the city twinned with Oradea Puskás István, who regretted very much the fact that he could not honor the invitation he received. "I am glad that the Bényi Gallery in Debrețin is currently hosting the exhibition of the renowned artist photographer from Oradea Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP who honored the 200th anniversary of the National Anthem. Among the collaboration of photographers from the two counties, that of the photojournalists from the two neighboring counties stands out, thanks to this competition initiated 8 years ago by AIEFA, on the initiative of its president". Media expert Stanik István, director of the "Partium" House from Debrețin and member of the jury, appreciated the professional level of the exhibits from which it can be seen that "the year 2022 meant for the inhabitants of this Euroregion a silence of joy and mutual collaboration, but also the appearance some images that remind us of the conflict that occurred near the borders of our countries in Ukraine". Next, the main curator of the project and the president of AIEFA presented the context in which this international project dedicated to photojournalists from the two counties started 8 years ago with the aim of presenting it annually in exhibitions, in the two twin cities which is the mirror of the most important events held in the Bihor - Hajdú-Bihar Euroregion. At the end, the cup and prize giving ceremony took place. The musical moments of the opening were provided by the students of the Art High School in Oradea. Student Füzesi Sára (VIIIth grade) performed Etude no. 2 by Louis Drouet, Concerto in G major composed for flute by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Old Song by Paul Constantinescu. The student Szakács Panna (9th grade) also performed the musical pieces Tango etude number 3 by Astor Piazzolla, part I and Concerto number 4 by François Devienne on the flute. The students were trained by prof. dr. Mircescu Georgiana and accompanied on the piano by Prof. Ferencz Mercédesz.
