THE FIRST VERNISSAGE OF 2024 AT THE FIAP EXHIBITION CENTER, "EURO FOTO ART" GALLERY

On the fourth day of the new year, the first photographic art exhibition of 2024 was inaugurated at the "Euro Foto Art" Gallery, the Exhibition Center of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). This event was organized by the International Association "Euro Foto Art" (AIEFA) in partnership with Summit Agro Romania (SAROM) and the Criș Country Museum Oradea – Museum Complex. The gallery, Romania's longest-standing permanent photographic art venue, hosted 48 large-format black-and-white photographs created by Cluj-Napoca photographer Csibi László. These works are dedicated to the memory of the Cluj magician Béla Ledniczky (Belloni). László Csibi, the exhibiting artist, is a documentary and music video director, an educator, and the head of the Hungarian Department of Cinematography and Media at the Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.The exhibition, titled Solitude, pays tribute to moments of loneliness. "It is an attempt to describe the state of absence from social life, where the images capture nature which, in its solitude, regardless of the season, evokes a sense of timelessness. The landscapes and trees, wrapped in black and white, are a reminder of loneliness and a memento of beauty. A landscape that captivates the individual longing for solitude," said the artist. The vernissage took place on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the "Euro Foto Art" Gallery, FIAP Exhibition Center, Oradea - Romania, located within the Museum of Oradea. The event began with greetings from Dr. Cristina Pușcaș, a representative of the Oradea Museum section, who praised the initiative of organizing the exhibition and thanked the exhibiting artist for the "gift" of presenting an exceptional photographic art exhibition to the public.Photographer artist Ștefan Tóth István, AFIAP, ESFIAP, president of AIEFA, remarked in his speech that the exhibition demonstrates not only the artistic value of the works but also that "in simplicity lies complexity." Dr. Mira Marincaș, a lecturer at Sapientia University in Cluj-Napoca and the exhibition curator, appreciated the artist's decision to return to the roots of photography, emphasizing the sensitivity of the exhibited images. Journalist Szűcs László, editor-in-chief of Újvárad magazine, highlighted the distinctive artistic elements of the photographs, such as rhythm, drama, and perspective, which contribute to their graphic effects. Art critic Dr. Ramona Novicov praised the fact that, in our fast-paced world, there are still young artists who nostalgically reflect on a contemplative natural environment and human nature that turns inward. The musical moments of the vernissage were provided by violist Thurzó Sándor József, representing the "Duo Sola Fide" Cultural Group of Oradea. He performed pieces including Aria by Macalik Alfréd, Aria by Constantin C. Nottara, Dance from Oașby Hilda Jerea, and Slovak Dance by Bartók Béla. The exhibition will remain open to the public at the Oradea Museum section until February 3, 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Additionally, the exhibited works will be displayed on screens in Oradea's public transportation vehicles, thanks to a protocol established between AIEFA and OTL SA.
