The Mezey Lajos bicentennial, dedicated to celebrating 200 years since the birth of the first Oradea photographer, has given the possibility of organizing in Oradea, by the “Euro Foto Art” International Association (AIEFA), under the auspices fo the International Photographic Art Association (FIAP), an exceptional photographic art exhibition. Thus, in the “Euro Foto Art” Gallery - FIAP Exhibition Center Oradea - Romania, 100 photographs belonging to the most reputed photographer in Romania - Nagy Lajos EFIAPd/3; GMPSA (the highest world distinctions) have been exhibited. The photographs have been grouped in two cycles: ”Life scenes” and ”Landscapes”. The selection of the 100 photos was made at the suggestion of the exhibiting photographer by Ștefan Tóth AFIAP - president of AIEFA - who considers himself honored by this opportunity. “In my career as a photographer I have taken part in juries across the world, but this selection was out of the ordinary, because I had to chose from 120 photographs that have been accepted and awarded at some of the most famous International Salons organized under FIAP (UNESCO recognized) patronage.” The personal retrospective exhibition of Nagy Lajos EFIAPd/3 GMPSA from Târgu Secuiesc (Harghita county), member of the “Euro Foto Art” International Association, is dedicated to celebrating his 70th birthday. Photography changed into a hoby of mine in 1961, when I learned the technical aspects, ways of processing photography and everything related to lab work. Being passionate about visual arts, I have studied fine art and photography, composition and photographic styles. I started taking part in national and international photography competitions starting in the 1980s’ and until the present day my works gathered over 20.000 acceptances and over 2000 prizes at national and international photography Salons” said the photographer. For his international accomplishments , FIAP has awarded him with the highest distinction - EFIAPd/3, while the Photographic Society of America has given him the title of PSA Master.
