Edirne Photography Art Association (EFOD) is a well-established art organization founded in Edirne in 1980. Since its establishment, it has organized various events, exhibitions and educational programs in order to promote, popularize and develop the art of photography.
EFOD's main purpose is to bring together individuals interested in photography, to increase their knowledge and skills, and to ensure that photography reaches wider audiences in society. In this context, basic and advanced photography trainings are organized within the association. Efod is actually a photography projects association. Many photography project workshops are opened every year on certain themes, and these studies are shared with art lovers through photography exhibitions and photography presentations.
Photography seminars, photography presentations and talks are held in schools, universities, villages and factories. In addition to these, Efod carries out joint projects with photography associations in the Balkan countries.
EFOD organizes these events especially to contribute to the cultural and artistic life of Edirne.
Efod Association Exhibition Hall has been accepted as FIAP Exhibition Hall by the World Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). In this context, Filipino photographer Manuel L. Librodo Jr.‘s “Colors and Festivals” exhibition was opened in the association exhibition hall as the first exhibition of our hall. This shows that EFOD is an internationally recognized organization.
