I took up digital photography in 2008. I have found that photography provides me with a great work-life balance, as well as allowing me to make many great friends. I began with traditional photographic subjects such as landscape, wildlife and sport. In 2009 I discovered model photography, a genre that I have followed passionately ever since. Joining a camera club allowed me to meet like-minded people. I am a member, committee member, and past president, of Smethwick Photographic Society. I have won many gold medals, my most valued awards are winning the gold medal for best individual image in the 9th FIAP World Cup, and being a member of the Smethwick teams that won the 10th and 11th FIAP World Cups. I enjoy sharing my love of photography by giving lectures to camera clubs in the UK and Ireland, where I encourage photographers to go for FIAP and other distinctions. I also judge national and international exhibitions.
