CU «Photographic Art Association of Transcarpathia» has presented on the 22nd of September in The Carpathian FEC the watercolor photographic project „Dreams and insomnia” by Yevhen Bakkai. The exposition was represented by 12 paintings and 23 photographs, which embodied a result of the author´s artistic research of the life of horses, including the study of their sleep, as the steadfast companions of humans. The artist's creativity is represented by dynamic forms of visual representation of dreams, and by demonstrating the potential improvement of the psycho-emotional state of Ukrainians it partially addresses the pressing issue of insomnia faced by Ukrainians today.

Vasyl Zubach mentioned about the exposition: «The main refrain of Yevhen Bakkai's creativity is life in the mountains through unique symbolic images. Dreams with horses on the photos carry us through the contemplation of photographs into our own dreams. In general, the roads and horses are all woven with anticipation and foreboding of positive changes. These photos serve also as a kind of symbolic "documentation" of the entire creative process of the artist».  Yevhen Bakkai sharing his thoughts during the exhibition opening: «During the active development of my own painting, photography became an auxiliary element in the search for ideas and subjects. Primarily, the theme of photography became life in mountainous areas, which changes very quickly, and through the photos, I want to convey to viewers the way of life of the highlanders, their life problems, feelings, and emotions. All of this I convey through symbolism». The cultural and artistic event was held within the framework of the project by The Carpathian FIAP exhibition center «My small Motherland». The exposition will last till the 4th of October.
