Photographic Art Association of Transcarpathia has presented on the 16th of May in The Carpathian FEC the Leif Alveen (GMPSA, EFIAP/d1, NSMiF/p, MSDF) photo exhibition «Images of the world and its people». The exposition consists of 33 pictures by the known Danish photographer. The author of the exhibition received an award from Uzhhorod for supporting the image of the city as one of the 22 photographic centers of the world.
The photo exhibition was organized within the project of the Carpathian FIAP Exhibition Center «World supports Ukrainian artists». Leif Alveen sharing his impressions about the exhibition: «I was deeply honoured to be asked to put together an exhibition for the FIAP exhibition center in Ukraine. Even more so when thinking about the state of that country at this time. If I can just make one person think about the wonders of photographic art for a brief moment, instead of the perils of everyday life in that part of the world right now, I would say that it has all been worth it. When we agreed that the prints will be sold after the exhibition and the proceeds donated to charity the exhibition took on a whole new and even more important meaning».
The exhibition will last till May 28th, 2023.
