Directorate of the Mukachevo-Carpathian Eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Augustyn Voloshyn Carpathian University and Photographic Art Association of Transcarpathia have presented on the 15th of April in The Carpathian FEC the photo exhibition «Ukraine. Tomos. Fragments».
The Right Reverend Viktor Bedj, Mukachevo and Carpathian Bishop, governing the Mukachevo-Carpathian Eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine explains: «Photo exhibition «Ukraine. Tomos. Fragments» dedicated to the fourth anniversary of gaining Tomos about the canonical autocephalous status of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, fragmentarily covers the historical stages of birth, formation, and establishment of the Ukrainian church from the apostolic blessing of Ukrainian apostle Andrij Pervozvannyj in the 33rd – 70th years of the Іst century till 2023». During the opening ceremony of the exhibition Ivan Lukachuk, Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Uzhhorod, noted the relevance of the photo exhibition in the context of the creation of the Ukrainian state.
The exhibition presents 50 photos by the following authors: Mykola Tynkalyuk EFIAP, Vasyl Pylypyuk АFIAP (1950 – 2017), Ivan Burkalo, Yaroslav Dulenko, Viktor Ponzel', Yaroslav Bidzilya, Andriy Sydor, Ivan Sydor, Volodymyr Norba АFIAP – Ukraine; Bohumil Vavroushek (1875 – 1939) – Czechoslovakia; Mykola-Avreliy Keresteni (1910 – 1969) and Ladislav Cuper (Slovakia); Ioannis Lykouris EFIAP/g, MFIAP, HonEFIAP – Greece.
The exhibition will last till April 29th, 2023.
